[ if akane is ever in wyver for literally any reason, there's a chance she'll see scotty out and about. this isn't because he's out being social or anything: he helps with the rebuilding things, sure. but a lot of his free time is spent fussing with ensign zoomy, the robotic flying squirrel that jim acquired and scotty altered.

if she never goes to wyver it's possible she'll see him doing the same thing on thesa station: in a public space either crouching over the small robot and fiddling with his insides OR standing, letting zoomy test his functions. which now include scanning, which he is currently in the middle of testing.
